This is the documentation of the operation and safety of the CO2 Infrared laser cutter. For hardware and build notes, see Laser Cutter Build.
Theory
A sealed and water cooled laser discharge tube, excited with sufficient electricity, produces a beam of powerful infrared light. The gas in the discharge tube consists of Carbon dioxide, Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Helium. (more...)
