First Aid Kits

There are three first aid kits on the KnoxMakers campus. The primary kit is located between the museum shelves and the arts-and crafts zone, near the member storage shelves. There is another small kit in the woodworking zone, to the right of the right divider wall archway leading to Machining. This kit is designed to be removed from the wall if needed. The third kit is located in the Blacksmithing building on the front wall, to the left of the barn doors.

Each kit is outfitted emergency supplies, as well as several convenience items to address minor annoyances.

Primary First Aid Kit

Location: Next to museum shelves attached to the PPE cabinet, near the member storage shelves in Arts and Crafts.

The primary first aid kit is divided into a "convenience" section and an "emergency" section. The convenience section is attached to the inside of the door, the emergency section is on the shelves within the cabinet. The emergency section is divided into three "go-bags", each focused on a type of emergency. The idea is that, in an emergency, one doesn't need to think about which supplies they may need to assist another member. They can just grab the appropriate go-bag and run.

Go Bags

Each go-bag is clearly labeled and sealed. The seal indicates the initials of the person who stocked the bag, as well as the nearest expiration date the items in the bag. The seal is NOT intended to keep members from using the bags. The seals tear easily and are only intended for inventory and expiration control. If you need a bag, do not hesitate to break the seal.

Bleed Control

This bag contains supplies for handing major bleeding incidents such as lacerations, abrasions, avulsions, etc.
