How To Join
To become a member you need to do the following:

If you're interested in what we do, and you want to join, the best way to get started is to come to our advertised public meetings.  You can check out the calendar tab to see those.  If you like what you see, then the next step is to review the [http://knoxvillehackerspace.com/wiki/Bylaws Knox Makers Bylaws] and [http://knoxvillehackerspace.com/wiki/Membership_Rules Membership Rules] and then fill out the form below. After submitting the application, one of our board members will get back to you and help you through the process of paying your dues for your trial month.  At the end of the trial month, we can help get keys assigned and grant you full access to the space.
* Read the [[Membership Rules]]
* Read the Knox Makers [[Bylaws]]
* Fill out an [https://knoxmakers.org/join/ Intent to Join] form.
* Sign a waiver (get one from a board member next time you visit us)
* Pay your first month’s [https://knoxmakers.org/dues/ dues] (online or in person next time you visit)

You can find a sample waiver [http://knoxmakers.org/WAIVER.pdf here].  Feel free to print one out and bring it with you, but we have them on-site as were.

After these steps, a member will have 30 days of trial membership when they are encouraged to visit and get to know other members, but will not have unattended access until their trial is up.
