• Server Rack - Shane's view is this is utterly unnecessary. Get cloud servers for projects. Physical hardware is hot, powersucker, dirty, takes footprint
  • Inside is a projector, toolboxes, laptops, shit on top including multiple computers. We already have 4 space computers... we don't need more.
  • Proposed Action: Remove server rack. Action Owner: [????]
  • Proposed change: I'd like to have the server rack actually working. Paying for cloud server services doesn't seem like a good use of our funds. I'd also advocate that we get rid of the working computers as well. I tried really hard to talk some folks out of setting them up on the benches. All they do is take up space on the work benches and no one uses them. I think they should all go, other than ones we assign specific tasks for. Looking for thoughts on this one. - Laz
  • Proposed Action: Follow through on removing computers. Recycling path has been identified. Owners wishing to retrieve donated boxes have been identified (Laz, BstrdSmkr) and boxes labeled.   • Proposed Action: Remove everything from server rack that is not a server. I offered and will follow through, if computers for disposal are ID'd and placed in TBD location, I will organize for appropriate stripping/salvage/disposal operation with optional case breakdown. Rack will be needed for Cray accessory hardware, with minor changes (rotate couch 90 degrees) rack will fit alongside Cray in present location, 120V single phase power present overhead on wall. • Piles of buckets and dirty rags in front of the sink
  • Buckets and rags are both of great value. Present location is terrible, yes. -adan
  • Proposed Action: create rag system: clear plastic bins, on new shelf system ( =near sink); clean, dirty. When clean's empty or dirty's full... clean 'em! Action Owner: [????]

  • Proposed change: I brought the buckets in as part of my cloth dying work. I'll be happy to take them home as buckets are generally useful things. - Laz

• 3+ broken coffee makers in a plastic tub

  • Proposed Action: If coffeemakers in plastic tub are ones I supplied, I would be surprised if they were broken. One black standard and one white '4 cup' maker were functioning perfectly when stored; Krupps espresso was third supplied and as far as I can tell has found some use though milk steamer is leaky nonfunc. • Lockers are wasteful of space and inefficient in use.

  • Proposed change: We need to get the other storage option put together (at least planned). We wanted to get the electronics work bench finished first so as not to distract. - Laz

• Plates / napkins / water / food storage is a mess and needs to be cleared out

  • Proposed Action/change: Offering construction/adaptation of light duty cart or unit to contain all human supplies including refrigerator, pending more pressing projects. Further propose ruling that perishable food trash must be "sealed" (tied bag) or removed at end of session, and nonrefrigerated food items be sealed in appropriate manner before owner exit.   • That was a solid plan, but it was supposed to be phased. Let's consider getting rid of CRT monitors and waste of space computers.- Laz

• Desks along the wall covered with build items for 3D printing construction.
  • Proposed Action: fold the tables, store compactly. They'll be useful, just not now. Request removal / tidying of inactive printer builds. Action Owner: [????]
  • All those printer builds are active, and andy is close to finishing up. I'll take my other table home with me to get it out of the space. The first one got a hole cut in it, and I was pretty pissed about that. I'll take it out before something shitty happens to that one as well. --Laz

  • Proposed action: When storage available for existing items under bench, area needs cleared long enough to improve bench structure and then can be reallocated. Benches are unstable and have loosened to point where motile mass of 3D printer can cause perceptible vibration and motion; side pressure on bench causes motion measurable in inches.   • Proposed Action: Discuss. That's a functional downdraft table, great for sanding without space-dusting. It's also a functional snack table. It's also, failing those functions, a superfancy folding mechanism. Chuck it if you wish, by all means, but know those functional options first. Action Owner: [????]
  • Proposed Action: Remove "fancy" folding leg mechanism from altered top and replace with more utilitarian option; apply "fancy" to new/repurposed/unaltered table top and reserve for appropriate use or remove. • Back wall... OMG where to start? Cant get to tools because of shit in front of them. Have these tools ever been used? (bandsaw, planer, miter saw etc). *Multiple cabinets of SHIT. THrow it out. Stacks of materials / scrap wood / flat panels

  • Proposed Action: Remove reflective panel. I began to do that, was shamed into trying to keep it for another purpose, failed partway through. Ditchit. Action Owner: [????]
  • Motion seconded on the tool usage bit. The trash storage needs to be addressed. It may be time for a hack-a-thon to clean out some scrap. The rules are everything that gets used must be taken away. - Laz
  • Proposed Action: Relax. Sizeable portion of clutter due to having needed to relocate items on/under EWB during project, most ended up on rolling shelf but materials/boxes shifted and stacked, more than was removed will be moved back. As far as small tools, I notice that it's time to reorganize the tool roller and consolidate again as some shelves are stuffed and some nearly empty. Upcoming minor project is getting the shop-thingy multitool on wheels.   • Comment: There exists no approved/allowable fecal storage facilities at the space, as it's a code violation and a biological hazard. I have not seen multiple cabinets of shit at the space, but if you are aware of the presence of feces by all means remove immediately, label/set storage aside for disinfection or disposal, and please inform the spacemaster (me) or board members with any information regarding the deposition of said feces, as it's an unacceptable use of space utilities.   • Proposed Action: Ask ClusterPuck team to reduce footprint of existing testbed. Remove legs / adopt downdraft table's folding mechanism / something? Action Owner: [????]
  • Proposed change: Let's use this as a very public form of giving something the axe. The clusterpuck project is basically just me and issac now, so the going will be slow. Buying an air hockey table to put in the space "to work on" is a terrible idea. Issac and I had already been talking about ways to get the thing out of there. Let's get the thing out of there, though. I think other than a few plastic bits, absolutely nothing from that table was even considered for reuse. - Laz
  • Proposed Action: Table is not optimal. Suggest either removal after testing for data completed, or possibly converting to 'tabletop' use by shortening legs to clear fan mechanism and adding rubber pads IF vertical storage can be accomplished (stick it somewhere on-end) without structural damage. Very likely to recommend the former, if members get the itch to mallet some pucks recommend they sign on to Clusterpuck development.--Strangegun 08:12, 28 March 2013 (EDT)
