When a Member Leaves

These are the steps the board takes after a member discontinues his/her membership.

Member expresses wish to discontinue membership

Secretary

  • Emails member with policy on discontinuing membership
    • Member needs to turn in key (in person or via mail)
    • Member has one year to rejoin without needing another trial month
  • Collects key from member
  • Edit haxdb Renew Deadline field with date of last payment plus 13 months, and change Membership field to Alumni or Abandoned.
  • Removes member's name from their member storage
  • Notifies other board members of member termination

Treasurer

Technical Director

  • Remove member's profile from Mattermost
  • Deactivate wiki user

Webmaster

  • Remove member's profile from website
