Minutes

  • Pre-Board Czar meeting
    • Getting a hold of people, should be requirement?
    • We need to start thinking about Bay 1
  • Sue's financial update
    • All zones doing well, nothing out of the ordinary
    • When do we drop covid rate? Maybe let it go a couple more months
  • Fundraising
    • What is the best way to go with this?
    • We certainly need it
    • Probably a person should be the point person for this - should be a board level position
  • Membership update
    • Posting pre-votes to the czar channel has been helpful
    • 213 members this month
  • Mayor's Maker Council Update
    • Slow month
    • Sean should bring up Maker Faire next month
  • Voted to update the membership rules (see below)
  • Voted almost unanimously to do nothing to our rules about the Constitutional Carry Law
  • Board Retreat coming up - make sure it's blocked off on our calendars
  • June 8th is almost upon us
    • Need to organize logistics
    • Meet at 11:30 June 5th to get classroom and space ready
  • Has that one people ever changed their url from knoxville_makers?
    • No
  • Since the CDC has said that vaccinated people do not need to wear masks, do we also lift our mask mandate?
    • We already were going to June 8th, but do we move that up?
  • Next Board Meeting - June 20th
    • Let the minutes reflect that Tracy is not a father


Votes

  • Voted unanimously to add to the membership rules the following text:
    • If you break a tool, or come across a broken tool that's not been tagged out, it's mandatory that you notify the board and czar/czarina of the zone via the /oops Matter Most command or the https://knoxmakers.org/oops/ URL, and tagging the equipment that it's broken (and the date).
  • Voted majority to drop mask rule in deference to the CDC ruling immediately.
  • Voted majority to be rid of extra items that a previous member left behind but has not picked up yet.
