Minutes

• This year each person on the board will report on their individual projects so we can keep everyone on task

Issac: President

• Spark news: Mary Thom has stepped down officially and Michael Blair is the interim director of Spark, a few of us will be meeting to hear more about the transition
• Building news: We are continuing to move forward in a positive (yet glacial) manner.
  • We had a geotechnical engineer come out and look at the koi pond and parking lot and they seemed to think it was not an issue
• Fundraising: We've quietly started some fundraising efforts - more public things planned for the near future

Sue: Treasurer

• Made a little money on the market - about average.
• Killswitch had more expenses, but they were much needed and a great time
• Income was up in September due to building donations, but without that we're about normal for income/expenses

Tracy: Membership Director

• 385 members - inching toward 400!

Russell: Community Director

• Talks and Crafts is trucking along well! Next up is pumpkin carving and stamp making!
• Newsletter is well received and October's should be coming up soon
• Requesting cure for the common cold

Jondale: Tech Director

• The network problem was the fault of 3d printing
• Mayor's Maker Council has done nothing since last meeting because this week is the Annual 3 Hour Retreat
• Mattermost has been slow lately so working on helping that out

Daryl: Communications

• Someone should buy Daryl's house so he has more time to work on the website

Sean: Creative Director - reporting from a cave

• Some reason our awesome new videos are not being seen - how do we fix that?
• Looking toward next year's market -we *really* need to have a promotional strategy

Billy: Facilities

• Hose for air installed in woodworking - woo!
• Working on shop inventory - 3d printing is latest in getting their stuff in - thanks!

Other stuff

• Maker City USA is trying to get a Mobile Makerspace and possibly focus on kids and we're exploring how we might could work together on this
• Next meeting November 16, 2025 4pm - See you there!
