**Primary focus was to talk about accountability for the board and to make sure we keep on things and on each other | |||
***According to the bylaws, there must always be a President, Secretary, and Treasurer but can have up to ten board members - the board can vote to add or remove positions as we want, depending on our needs. | |||
***We have named (and will vote for below) eight roles for the 2025 board | |||
***We will post the list of board positions, their roles, and nominees shortly so the members can see them well before the annual meeting | |||
***Starting next year, each board member will report on their role and tasks at every board meeting to keep us on task | |||
**Events | |||
***For every event we will ask - What is our purpose of holding this event? This will make it more clear when planning and reacting to problems. | |||
***Each event will also have a person who is ultimately in charge of that event, and they (the Event Champion/Cheese) will report at the board meetings while the event is in progress | |||
***We will make an effort to have and encourage low-effort (and free) events so to build community and knowledge | |||
***Especially on Tuesdays - we want every Tuesday to have a "thing" - (one talk, one craft/activity, one cookout, one NMO each per month) | |||
***We will have Killswitch in 2025 but it will not be during a market - it was too much at once and it was not fun | |||
***Also do the Market in 2025, but only once - and we will ask Aliki to tell us when she prefers it to be | |||
**The board will also make a sincere effort that every time we are doing something in the space no matter how trivial - to rope some non-board member in to assist - to both get more people involved, and to lighten our own load | |||
*Mayor's Maker Council - Jondale joined the Makerspace sub-group so the leadership of Maker organizations can meet each other | |||
*Documentary - they are interviewing people now so that is chugging along | |||
*Maker Education Meetup - Issac went to that this past month with other various Maker organizations and startups in Knoxville | |||
*Arts and Cultural Alliance Resource Fair - Russell, Daryl, and Jondale went to prove we were not curmudgeons and talk to other groups and attendees | |||
*Issac spoke to Spark | |||
**There is a potential for the Comcast site beautification grant at the property (maybe some paint, maybe some lighting, maybe paving the parking lot). They want to spend it and we want to receive it! | |||
**We could possibly get an e-cycling receptacle which will give a little cash to Spark and allow us to get rid of e-junk | |||
**Sue wants to know if we're still on track for Toy Tech - yes, the answer is yes we are! Toy Tech will have 100 toys for us by December 3rd so we can adapt them | |||

- Primary focus was to talk about accountability for the board and to make sure we keep on things and on each other
- According to the bylaws, there must always be a President, Secretary, and Treasurer but can have up to ten board members - the board can vote to add or remove positions as we want, depending on our needs.
- We have named (and will vote for below) eight roles for the 2025 board
