Meeting Minutes

• Asked Suzannah to leave so we could talk about her (see votes below)
• Issac gave the financial report because Sue was not feeling well :(
• Sean requests that Sue get well soon
• If Sue is willing, we will put her as the primary contact for Paypal
• What to do about the Cosplay Zone?
  • There is no one heading it at the moment, and it is sort of a mix of a bunch of different zones.
  • The proposal is to fold the space into Fabric Arts
  • Perhaps we could better display the costuming things so that cosplayers know that we still love them
  • Maybe having a Deputy Czar who can answer questions about Cosplay in particular

• Andrew updated on codes compliance
  • We have a concrete pad and an exit sign!
  • Is this project complete? We are no longer a death trap
• Issac is proposing a new Automotive Zone
  • We have things do discuss before bringing this up to Spark
  • We should make it a real Zone to make sure that tools don't end up outside and/or fluids being left around
  • We have ramps available to use for safety
  • Maybe we kick it down the road a bit until we find someone excited about it to be Czar(ina)
  • Jondale will store the ramps forever until we need them
• Grants update
  • We have a wall with some insulation!
  • Maybe we can get our member storage hallway back soon
  • We have concrete in the holes and are planning a blacksmith framing day after the wall is complete
• Tool and Equipment Lease update
  • Jondale's lawyer is back from the dead and has provided us with paperwork
  • It seems satisfactory and we will start implementing it
• Peace officer contact issue
  • Laurie K is concerned that people will not be able to contact her since she is rarely on Mattermost
  • Do people even know we have Peace Officers? Why hasn't Tracy put it in the New Member Onboarding?
  • We should have signage or more ways to make people aware that we even have Peace Officers
• Our Trademark may expire!
  • But not for 3.5 years so don't worry about it yet
  • Tracy will send an email to the future board so that they will know what to do
• Rental bay update
  • We should consolidate all our board stuff into one bay
  • The rest of the bays are full of possibly temporary stuff (like blacksmithing)
• There is a cabinet of chemicals that we are not sure what to do about - no one uses them or possibly knows they're there
  • Let's make them go away
• Sean is wondering if we want to be sponsor for a local group for $100/table
  • Someone commented "screw that"
  • Maybe someone could wear a "game board costume" in order to sneak some marketing into the event
• Next Board Meeting is Sunday, October 13th, 1:30pm

• Voted unanimously to disband the Cosplay Area and fold the physical space into Fabric Arts
